Beyoncé’s year has had a few hiccups, but she’s back at the top of her game! Just a couple of months after Bey was named one of Time magazine’s Most Influential People, the singer/actress/entrepreneur/Instagram goddess strikes again on Forbes magazine’s 100 Most Powerful Celebrities list. This time, however, Queen Bey isn’t just on the list, but she tops it as the #1 Most Powerful Celebrity!
Now I love solid, statistically-supported celebrity judging, so I love the Forbes list. The magazine ranks the rich and famous based on annual earnings, press mentions, social media reach and a rating of the celeb’s impact in the entertainment industry. Beyoncé certainly earned her alpha position this year, during which she earned an estimated $115 million – largely from the “Mrs. Carter Show” world tour and her killer Beyoncé album release.
Don’t worry, minions, Beyoncé isn’t the only one pulling in the power at home. Husband and “On the Run” tour co-headliner Jay Z pulled in a not-too-shabby ranking of #6 on the same list. Blue Ivy, on the other hand, is still unranked. She gets a pass until she’s 18…but then she’ll really have to pull it together.
So what do you think of the power rankings? Will Queen Bey’s reign be long on the this list?
