When they call her Queen Bey, they mean it, darlings. Beyonce has been named as one of Time magazine’s Most Influential People and I really can’t think of an It Girl who deserves it more. Bey looks brill on the cover, posing in a white bikini and sheer dress with her long locks straight and blonde. Flawless, as usual.
Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg wrote the profile on Bey, boasting that the “XO” singer “doesn’t just sit at the table, she builds a better one.”
Hmm, I’m not sure that analogy works, Sheryl, but I understand what you’re trying to say–that Bey is more than just some hollow pop star; she’s an ambitious bad-ass who can do just about anything.
Other notable names on the list? Robert Redford, Hillary Clinton, Kerry Washington, Pharrell Williams and, perhaps surprisingly, Carrie Underwood.
Then of course there’s a whole host of other influencers whom I’ve never heard of because world politics bore and depress me.
