With Gossip Girl on its final season (grab your tissue), it’s time to take a look at some of the iconic moments for each of our favorite Upper East Siders, and what would Blair Waldorf be without her famous headbands. Every Queen needs her crown, right?
Fun Fact about the origin of B’s headbands: Leighton Meester is a natural blond but had to be brunette for the part. Instead of making her dye her hair for the first few episodes before they knew the show would be picked up, she wore a wig and to cover the wig line, Eric Daman (costume designer) hid it with beautiful headbands which became iconic.
Throughout the seasons of Gossip Girl, Blair has donned some pretty fabulous (and at times a bit ostentatious) head wear.
Always with an eye for fashion, Blair definitely understands the importance of a head to toe look. Headbands have become a trend, not only for Queen B and her minions, but for fans as well (although let’s face it, we’re basically minions at this point).
Perhaps B would have been better suited coming out with a headband line for Waldorf Designs. At least she wouldn’t have had the wardrobe malfunction debacle!
