While guests weren’t allowed to take pictures at Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ secret wedding ceremony on September 9, 2012, we will get to see pictures from the event! Martha Stewart Weddings was there and will be featuring the celebration in their winter issue, which will come out in December 2012. Even though that feels like forever from now, MSW‘s Darcy Miller said, “Believe me, it’s worth the wait.”
The editors at the magazine helped the couple plan the ceremony and reception, along with Charleston event planner Tara Guérard. More details have emerged about the event:
Style – Blake wore a custom Marchesa gown designed by her friends, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, with shoes created for the celebration by Christian Louboutin (who was also a guest at the wedding). The bridesmaids wore blush-colored Marchesa dresses. Ryan and his groomsmen wore specially made Burberry suits accessorized with custom leather suspenders designed by the groom’s friend, Christopher Bailey.
Setting – The ceremony and reception took place at a rustic barn at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., just outside of Charleston. Ryan has been a big fan of this location for a while.
Overall Vibe – “From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration,” said Darcy.
