Who better to recap each week’s new episode of Gossip Girl than author Cecily von Ziegesar? In this week’s edition, she tries to decide which Blair Waldorf quote is better (not an easy task, as we all know!)
Hey people,
Had an awesome time last night, tweeting while watching, although I got so into my running commentary I had to do a little review session this morning, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. This episode had so many good one-liners, I’m glad I did.
Favorite look: Serena’s swirling feathers lurex mini dress. She totally rocks it, and it sets the scene for a host of crazy disco outfits throughout the hour.
Most questionable looks:
- Chuck’s Kermit the Frog green socks and penny loafers during his therapy session with Blair. Would you want your man to wear those?
- Sylvia Weinstock, aka The Cake-Lady’s enormous round and thick black-framed spectacles.
Best lines: As usual, Blair ties for first, with herself.
- Blair to Chuck’s therapist—“I was a teenage bulimic and my father came out when I was fifteen. This isn’t my first analysis.”
- Blair to Chuck—“Care to share how you went from… Charlie Sheen to Charlie Brown?”
Favorite moment: OK, so this wasn’t actually part of the episode, but my heart did a little hop-skip-and-a-jump when I saw the ad for my latest book, Gossip Girl Psycho Killer. It’s a really funny and kick-ass book, by the way. Read it! Thank you CW TV-land people for running the ad. What a pleasant surprise.
Can’t wait for next week’s drama-filled mid-season finale!
Namaste.
You know you love it.
xoxo -CvZ
