Chace Crawford is the talk of the town right now. The Gossip Girl star chatted up a royal in-law, was not impressed with the Fierce Five, and showed off his biceps (thank you!) for a men’s mag.
According to Us Weekly, Pippa Middleton went up to Chace at NYC hotspot Electric Room inside the Dream Downtown. An insider said ”They didn’t party together but they spoke for 10 minutes.” Sadly, no numbers were exchanged even though the two are both single.
Us Weekly also published a pic of Chace with the US gymnastics team, aka the Fierce Five, at the magazine’s office. McKaylaMaroney, 16, Kyla Ross, 15, Gabby Douglas, 16, Jordyn Wieber, 17, and Aly Raisman, 18, posed with Chace making the infamous “McKayla is not impressed” face (except Gabby didn’t get the memo). The gold medalists were at the office for a luncheon and the staff showed them a video montage of their celeb friends congratulating the girls, and then surprised the girls by bring Chace in to congratulate them in person!
And finally, Chace is the cover guy for the September issue of August Man. Check out some of the pics and quotes from the issue below (via Just Jared).

On moving to California when Gossip Girl ends: “I’m probably going to buy a house out there, get a backyard, get a grill. Live the domestic life. Maybe I’ll get some plants, step up to a dog.”Photo Credit: August Man via Just Jared
Plain White Tee
On what he calls the Gossip Girl original five (Himself, Blake, Leighton, Penn, and Ed): “I have a very good relationship with everybody. We support each other, we go see each other’s films, we chime in every now and again. Obviously it’s going to be different when we’re done with the show, but we’ll always have that. There’s always moments during TV shows where it can be sort of a grind, but everyone loves each other and everyone brings something different to the table. We just had such a great time together. That’s one of the upsides for me to the business, meeting this group of talented people from all over.”Photo Credit: August Man via Just Jared
A Serious Man
On still having to prove himself: “At my level and at my stage, I don’t have the pick of the litter, I don’t have any power, so it’s still about proving myself and chipping away at those preconceived notions that people have of me like, ‘Oh, you’re on a CW show.’ It’s not a really negative connotation, but it sets a certain precedent before I come into a room. It’s nice when I get a surprised reaction like, ‘Oh, that was good.’”Photo Credit: August Man via Just Jared
