As Gossip Girl prepares for its sixth and final season, Chace Crawford and the rest of the cast are going to miss their number one fan. In an interview with WENN, Chace talks about the GG superfan–who surprisingly, is a 36 year-old man named Phil.

Chace explains,

There was this fan that was always on set. We’d come out of the studio and there’d be this fan there. We got these tiny lunchboxes with a collage of our faces on it. It was really sweet if it was from a 12 year-old girl but it was a 36 year-old man, Phil that was giving us these things. He was always outside for the first two years but then we’d see him now and again and we felt like he was right there with us; he’d be there and didn’t even want any pictures. We’d be like, ‘Good to see ya’. He was a good guy and with us for the whole time.

Phil isn’t exactly representative of the typical Gossip Girl fan-base but it’s great to know that his years of dedication were appreciated!

Who else is an unexpected fan? Celebrities frequently gush about the show, the characters, and of course, the drama. Among Gossip Girl’s most famous fans are Tyra Banks, who makes frequent references to the show on America’s Next Top Model, and of course, the hilarious cast from Saturday Night Live.

I believe that out of all these, Tyra Banks is the most known and respected. Glad we have one super fan. Other than Phil of course. I don’t think anyone can be his status of, “super fan”.

Also, I’m so sad to read about the last season. Though, we all knew it would have to come to an end some day, we all know they’re gonna go out with a bang! And so much more. Can’t wait for those scandals.
