Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) and Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) have definitely had their ups and downs since Season 1 of Gossip Girl. When we first met them, they seemed to be two totally different people. After all, Serena was an Upper East Side It Girl and Dan was a Brooklyn Lonely Boy. But you know what they say… opposites attract, and it actually worked with them. But with the drama that comes with the show, their relationship fell apart.
When we last left them in Season 5, Dan had been dating Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and Serena conned him into hooking up with her (and filmed it!) with the possibility of hurting Blair. Dan is furious with her. Cut to Serena leaving New York City on a train with a new guy next to her.
Penn and Blake have been spotted recently filming scenes for Season 6 together. And they look happy! The characters were seen riding a Vespa together in Central Park and filming smiley scenes in the street.

If true Love has any real meaning, I think they should get back together. After all that they have been through, they deserve each other.
