First Look: Glee’s Touching Goodbye to Cory Monteith

Grab your Hermes hankies, darlings. Glee just released a new teaser for the upcoming episode “The Quarterback,” which bids farewell to Cory Monteith, who died of a drug overdose in July. Although this clip is only 33 seconds long, it’s more than enough time to well up at the sight of the McKinley High family joining together to remember and celebrate the life of Finn Hudson.

Take a look but don’t say I didn’t warn you…

The show’s creator says that making this emotional ep, which features Lea Michele singing Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love,” was even harder:

“Those performances that you’ll see … almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance. The actors and the crew had a really hard time shooting it,” he explained. “I’ve never seen a crew that you can’t continue shooting because they’ve left the room sobbing. It was very hard.”

You’ll rarely ever see me crying (it ruins my lash extensions), but, in situations such as these, even a cold-hearted queen such as myself is prone to some tears.

I don’t know if I can bear to tune into this…but I’ll give it a try. Will you be weeping right along with the cast when it airs on Oct 10?
