Gossip Girl Season 6, Episode 7 “Save The Last Chance” opens with Monkey barking at Bart Bass (Robert John Burke) who’s ransacking Chuck‘s (Ed Westwick) apartment looking for the microfilm that was taken from the Rainbow Woman painting in last week’s episode. As Chuck confronts him, Ivy Dickens (Kayle DeFer) shows up and says she has what they’re both looking for. They say to name her price. She says she doesn’t want money — she wants Lily (Kelly Rutherford) to know how it feels to have nothing (the way Lily made her feel). She’ll give the microfilm to the first one to make Lily feel that way.
Ivy then goes to a hotel room and meets her so-far-secretive partner in crime: Dr. William van der Woodsen (William Baldwin), and makes out with him!
Bart tells Lily everything, including the part about Ivy wanting to destroy her, so she calls Rufus Humphrey (Matt Settle) to help her figure it out. But Rufus throws out the old “You reap what you sow” and says no. But, as he’s leaving, he sees Ivy kiss William and put him in a cab.
Meanwhile, the newly reunited Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) and Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) are talking about going public with their relationship. S says all of their friends are furious at them so if they want to go public they have to make amends with them first. Serena will start with Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), and Dan will start with Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford).
S heads to Blair’s who is working on her B line for Waldorf Designs which will be debuting at a Barneys Co-Op pop-up shop. Nelly Yuki (Yin Chang) comes by too, and says Blair’s too old to be Queen B and basically that her line will f-a-i-l. This upsets B, so Serena says she’ll help her get Sage Spence (Sofia Black-D’Elia) to attend and help create buzz among high-schoolers. All she has to do is make Sage think that Serena is back with her dad and Sage will go to B for sabotage. Serena has a pic of her and Steven kissing from a while ago but will timestamp it saying it was recent, and send it to Gossip Girl.
Of course right after the pic is blasted, Sage comes to Blair who offers a deal with her: she’ll give her guidance if she can get a meeting with the secret society of influential high school girls Sage is the head of. At the meeting the girls are not happy Sage brought B but they agree to grant Sage’s one request and go to Blair’s pop-up shop.
But later on, Sage figures out that they’ve been played so she tells the girls to still go but there’s been a change of plans. At the pop-up shop, she tells Blair that she knows about her little scheme and that the girls are just there to be detractors. “Plastic stays in pockets” was supposed to be their motto that night, but they end up loving the designs and the whole event is a total success.
