The thing about falling in love is that when it’s over, it’s easy to fall apart. And professional breakup artist Taylor Swift is kind of over it. So, she’s giving up on romance… for now at least.
The “Shake it Off” singer recently revealed that her new album 1989 is not only a new sound for her, but a completely new direction. “[RED] was a devastating record,” she said in an interview with Fusion. “It was about dealing with an intense heartbreak.” But her new songs focus on “the phase after that where you brush yourself off and you’re okay.”
T.Swizzle wants you to know that she’s not the same girl who went back to December or cried teardrops on her guitar. Who needs boys anyway? “At this point, I just want to be with my friends and I want to make music and I want to play shows,” she said. “I want travel the world and I want to define my life on my own terms. That’s my list of priorities now, which is different than it was a couple of years ago.”
