It’s a classic tale of a starry-eyed girl trying to make it in Hollywood. “I was young,” Jennifer Lawrence told Harper’s Bazaar UK during her November issue cover story interview. “It was just the kind of s–t that actresses have to go through.”
“Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight. They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. It was just that.”
Now that J.Law has really made it in Tinseltown (um, hello Oscar!), she has a lot more confidence to give a middle finger to anyone who tries to pull something like that again. “I know it’ll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet’, I’m like, ‘You can go f–k yourself,’” she said.
Do you think Jen’s story and attitude about it now will help change the way Hollywood looks at weight, or will there always be some starlet-wannabe who will do whatever it takes to see their name in lights?
