Scene & Heard: Don’t Do This When You See Jennifer Lawrence…

“I want to go out to a restaurant and just eat and be left alone. Thank you for loving my movies; I appreciate it so much, but the greatest thing you could do is let me eat and just go home. But I have to accept that I’m not going to make it through the meal without getting bothered and be OK with that.” – Jennifer Lawrence reveals that sometimes she just doesn’t want to be bothered by fans, no matter how precious and sweet they are.

It’s quite a shame that she even has to say this out loud, isn’t it darlings? Surely all of you, my darling minions, would never do such a thing…you would instead use the opportunity to snap pics of her and whoever she was dining with and send them my way so that we can generate some kind of scandalous gossip, right? ;)

What do you think of Jen’s plea? Does she have every right to refuse pictures with fans or should she suck it up and smile because without them, there’d be no career? Tell me your thoughts in a comment below! XOXO

If someone is enjoying a private moment…like eating dinner, or doing anything that a regular person would do, leave them the F*** alone! If they are dong someting for work…even going to and from a talk show appearance or whatever, then sure, they are fair game for POLITE autograph or picture seeking since that is work time, and interacting with the people that pay her salary is part of work.

We call it PRIVACY.. I don’t think that asking to eat alone is a crime! She wants to eat in a restaurant like a normal person like anybody else like to do and fans have to understand it. She loves her fans and she knows that we are one of the reasons of her career. She isn’t asking something unrealizable! Respect her and her privacy!

  3. Me Said:

I think it’s reasonable that she asks to be left alone while having dinner. However she is a famous person, and when she started her career she probably would already be familier with the concequences of it.

  4. CleverByH Said:

Bitch please, just let her eat.

  5. Shayna Said:

I understand that she wants to be left alone and be like a “normal” person but geez, you’re famous! What do you expect? Some people would die just to be interrupted while having dinner to meet their fans. Suck it up! You wanted to be a well known actress, well deal with the consequence. I love Jennifer Lawrence but she needs to remember that she is famous now and people are looking up to her.

If i was popular i wouldn’t like it eather if i was eating and you come to me and ask a picture i mean she is eating. But i do think she should take pictures with fans when she is not eating.

Can’t promise to do that no matter how much i respect her privacy. sometimes the fangirl in me gets too excited and lose her mind. after all,how many times can u bump into jennifer/katniss in the flesh? for some of us it maybe an opportunity of a lifetime. alas, its understandable how much she longs to be left alone having a peaceful meal, when you’re that famous, it’s hard to come by.

I think Jennie should listen to holly grail by jayz ft jt ….. Really when are up there the price to pay is high after all the fan are your customer and in business customer are always right .if miss Lawrence want privacy she should stay indoor and eat.u can’t be famous and want to live like normal people.cos u are not normal anymore since u are a star u need to shine always.

  9. Constance Said:

She wants to eat like a normal person but she is not a normal person. She’s a celebrity. If she wanted to eat like a normal person then she shouldn’t just have been a celebrity. duh?

  10. Alicia Said:

I don’t see how it could be a problem if you just want privacy

  11. Ruby Said:

Everyone has the right to privacy, and I mean everyone. It is actually one of the human rights and gossip pages like this are violating that right. People say just because they are celebrity means they have to accept the consequences, no. They are doing a job like everyone else and their job should not comprise their privacy; it’s disgusting. Another thing as well, the comments on the Facebook link were foul

  12. Ruby Said:

(Continued) but yeah the comments were foul because she doesn’t want to be disturbed and people were saying “oh she’s asking for it” that sounds like a rapist. The person gave a clear no and yet in the offenders eyes they are still asking for it no matter what. It’s vile and disgusting. If someone says “leave me alone” you bloody leave them alone and if they go to the police I’m guessing you can be done for harassment

  13. SierraJSchneider Said:

    hi

  14. Kayleigh Said:

The fact that she even has to ask for privacy is a big indication into the way society works. Nobody wants to be interrupted when they’re eating dinner, the fact that she’s famous doesn’t give us a free-for-all pass into her life.

  15. Layal Kazma Said:

I love Jennifer but she should suck it up.

  16. Jeffrey Said:

I give her every f***ing right do to that. I’ve allready seen so many great men and women in my live and never bothered to talk to them, just because I would like the same if I would be them.

And don’t forget that her being ‘Katniss Everdeen’ in the ‘Hunger Games’ makes her even the mockingjay for every bad group that feels like that. I feel so to in my country (Belgium), you may say all sorts of things that could bette your country, they don’t listen. And Luxembourg is our disctrict 13.

  17. Lola Said:

She’s rich and famous and has everything she could ever want so don’t you think being interrupted every now and again is a small price to pay?

  18. Annie D Said:

Asking for an autograph while celebrities are dining, working out (exercising)or waiting to pick up their children is rude FULL STOP.

Always respect the celebrity being in an environment, you wouldn’t like to be interrupted while eating your giant fudge sundae quietly. Just snap a picture from a distance (that isn’t embarrassing for them and carry on with your life.

  19. Forreal?? Said:

She should be flattered that she is getting nice fans asking for a picture or saying hi. This means she is successful and has a great career if she can’t say hi to fans with a good attitude she doesn’t deserve this fame. Sure it may be annoying now and then but it’s part of her life now… She should appreciate it!!

  20. John Phenom Said:

I bet she don’t have any problems with the perks of being a celebrity. Interrupted at dinner by fans life is so hard. Shut up

  21. Zandri Said:

    *I must say… I LOVE her hair*

  22. Amber Said:

She’s a public figure. She put herself into the spotlight. I love Jennifer as much as the next person, but if she didn’t want to be “bothered” by fans at dinner, maybe she shouldn’t have landed that coveted hollywood role. #justsaying.

  23. J Said:

It’s only fair that lovely Jen wants to be left alone. But as we all know, it won’t happen anytime soon… .

  24. Anonymous Said:

When you’re making one movie after another, you gotta know that people are going to recognize you, want to talk to you, ask for an autograph, etc. If you don’t want people to do that, maybe it’s time to quit making movies and live a more normal life. Isn’t she the one that said acting is “stupid?” You can’t have it both ways.

  25. Y Said:

Guess she is right about getting her share of privacy too in life, but then she should have thought about that before entering the celebs’ world…
