Cha-Ching: Kim Kardashian’s Video Game

It looks like Kim Kardashian has a pretty solid backup career should this whole reality television empire/marrying another millionaire thing fall through. Kim has delved into a rather unexpected realm: the world of video games. And she’s about to rake in a whole lot of cash for it.

Wait – what?

The self-titled game that Kim developed with Glu Mobile Inc., “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” is on track to make $200 million by the end of the year. That’s $200 million American dollars that will be spent on a game that simulates the rise to fame from a store clerk to a (self-proclaimed) A-Lister by flirting, dating other celebrities, starting feuds and so on. So, yeah: Kim Kardashian’s bio in the form of a video game. I wonder how many points you get for releasing a sex tape

What’s even crazier than the $200 million this game will reportedly make, is that it’s a free download! The game is making money for all the added “energy” that players purchase to help them get from the E list to the A list. This is madness!

Though I’m quite certain it wasn’t Kim spending the hours to program code and design avatars, sources have revealed that she will make 45% of the profits, which in this case will be around $85 million. Think about how much Kardashian Kollection Kim, Kourtney and Khloé would have to sling at Sears in order to make that much money.

Minions, if it’s not abundantly clear: I better not catch any of you playing this mind-numbing game. If you’re going to get famous, get famous IRL. While I do believe there is a pretty strong relationship between people that reach A List status on Kim’s game and actual A Listers, it’s of the inverse variety. XOXO

I was curious and downloaded it. I used to play this exact game but I believe it was called Hollywood story and it had nothing to do with the kardashians. I guess that game wasn’t doing very well so they brought a “celebrity” in to promote the game and add her in.
