If there was any doubt in your mind that Kris Jenner is the worst mom ever, let me chase that idea away for you. Khloe Kardashian tells Cosmo UK that when she was nine–nine–Kris thought little Khlo was in desperate need of some nipping and tucking.
“She didn’t mean harm, but when I was around nine I overheard my mom telling her friend I needed a nose job,” she revealed. “I was shocked; I hadn’t even thought about it.”
Khloe went on to say that makeup artist frequently tell her she should get her nose fixed (she lets her employees insult her? Embarrassing…) but is “proud” that she’s stood up to the criticism.
Personally, I see no problem in having a little, shall we say, facial refinement. Why, many things in life need a little sprucing up to take them from a so-so to an OMFGorgeous, whether it be a vintage ring you reset, a bolt of luxe fabric you fashioned into a gown, or a nose you get straightened! We get facials and highlights and push up bras–is a nose job really so different?
But what is different is that most mothers don’t go around suggesting it and destroying their child’s self esteem, then wondering why that child marries a crack addict who cheats on her.
How would you have reacted if your mummy dearest had told you to go under the knife at such a young age–or any age, really? Or do you think that KJ was just being honest about KK’s flaws that weren’t going to magically fix themselves?
