A Mean Girls musical? That’s so fetch!
Tina Fey, who wrote the screenplay for the movie recently told E! that she’s trying to develop it. And fantasy casting has already begun: after the “I wanna lose three pounds,” argument between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on American Idol (where Mariah totally schooled Nicki on Mean Girls trivia), Tina said she’d love for Mimi to play Regina George’s mom (Amy Poehler‘s character).
I couldn’t be more ecstatic about this possibility (as long as Lindsay Lohan doesn’t reprise her role as Cady Heron…no one wants to see her sing — or act for that matter — anymore). What better a story line than a group of queen Bs ruling a school. You know you love it. Will you be seeing it if it comes to a theater near you?
