Late summer can be tricky for a fashionista. While your mind may be drifting to Pumpkin Spiced Lattes and cashmere, it’s still too soon to totally abandon your warm weather wear. So what’s an It Girl to do? Take a page from Jenna Ushkowtiz and find a happy medium like this style she wore to the Oceana’s 7th Annual SeaChange Summer Party in Laguna Beach:
I love this look because it’s clearly summery but steers clear of ultra bright or treacly pastel shades that you’ve already worn and become sick of by now. This wave-printed Raoul halter dress highlights her figure and looks classy but still has that laid-back summertime vibe. I also adore her turquoise jewelry, which is a fun fresh addition to the B&W color palette. I would’ve perhaps preferred an open toe heel, but at least her pumps are in an unobtrusive color.
This dress is definitely destined to join the ranks of my esteemed wardrobe: it would look great with a high bun and strappy heels at a restaurant opening in Miami, or perhaps one could pair it with Greek-inspired sandals and a straw bag for a stroll around St Tropez.
What do you think about this Glee star’s swirly, girly look? Just right for this time of year or blah and boring?
