Spotted: Prince George crawling around with fellow babies during a royal visit to the Governor-General of New Zealand’s residence on Wednesday. While my preferred method of cuteness can be found in the handbag section of Bendel’s, my minions tell me this sighting is adorable for those who are partial to young humans who cry. And I’ll give him points for his spring appropriate, nautical-themed ensemble. (Okay, okay…and those rosy cheeks.)
Now 8 months old, the perennially pouty prince was seen dribbling, drooling, smiling, and throwing toys around during the play date with local toddlers. Proud parents Prince William and Duchess Catherine looked on, and chatted with the other parents about George’s entry into the exciting phase of teething. Pulling her weight in the style department, Duchess Kate wore a black and white Tory Burch frock, and looked as put together as ever while her child stole toys and the show.
I’m told crying from time to time is perfectly normal behavior for a child of that age, but it just all seems so uncivilized…especially for a Brit! I’m not someone who gushes at the sight of cherubs (or ever), so I’m waiting until young Georgie comes of age and starts misbehaving like his Uncle Harry, dressing like his mom, or ruling the country like his great grandmother to get invested in his story. Until then, I’ll be at Bendel’s.
So what do you think, darlings? Are you OMFGaga for the royal baby?
