Will Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) find out who Lady Alexander is? Will Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Steven Spence‘s (Barry Watson) relationship survive when their pasts are revealed? And will Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) really continue to screw his friends and family over in his serial? All burning questions that we’ll get the answers to on Monday when Season 6, Episode 4 “Portrait of a Lady Alexander” airs at 9/8c on The CW. Until then, we have a few teases from the producers in a new video preview.
The Mystery of Lady Alexander – Matt Whitney, co-producer fills us in: “The clue that came from the last episode — they just got a name from the boxer — ‘Lady Alexander…’ When we open on this episode, it’s them trying to figure out ‘What does this mean?’ ‘What is this name?’ ‘Who could this be?’ And Blair loves a task or a mission, so she’s joined forces with Chuck and she’s putting Waldorf Designs aside while she gets on this new mission with Chuck.”
A Bump In Serena and Steven’s Relationship – “Serena’s kind of waving the white flag and saying, ‘Okay, let’s make this work,'” Matt said. “She wants Sage and Nate’s relationship to be okay and for Steven to accept that and them be one big happy family, but things are going to complicate that.”
Dan’s Going to the Dark Side – “Dan, at the end of Episode 3, took his serialized book and screwed Nate over and sold it to Vanity Fair,” said Sara Goodman, executive producer. “And so now Nate is really scurrying to try to find a new way to make The Spectator work, and Dan’s next chapter is out in Vanity Fair. And Serena is concerned about when Dan’s chapter about her comes out and what might be in it. He’s not upset about [upsetting a lot of his friends] at all. In fact, he’s kind of enjoying the new power and doesn’t really see any reason to indulge his old friends.”
