In Gossip Girl Season 6, Episode 8 “It’s Really Complicated,” it’s Thanksgiving on the Upper East Side. Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) gets a text from Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) about the next chapter in his serial. He says it’s all done.

Meanwhile Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) is depressed, drinking in bed. Across town, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is packing for Paris. She is giving some space to Chuck as he’s going through this difficult time and swears it just needs to run its course… like the stomach flu. But Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski) asks B if she’s okay leaving Dan and Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) together. Clearly Blair is not.

Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Bart (Robert John Burke) are planning to go to Turks and Caicos that night. Serena is excited because she and Dan can invite all of their friends and Rufus to their Thanksgiving dinner since they won’t be there.

Serena begs Blair to come, so the Queen B decides not to go to Paris in hopes of breaking up S and Dan up. Blair calls Sage Spence (Sofia Black-D’Elia) to help her with her breakup plan in exchange for getting her back with Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford).

Back at Nate and Chuck’s: Nate comes in and tells Chuck that Bruce Kaplan fell off of Bart Bass’ yacht and died. Bart must have pushed him because he worried he was in connection to telling them where the microfilm was.
