Robin Thicke Puts All The Blame on Miley Cyrus for Their Raunchy VMA Performance

Looks like Robin Thicke is pointing a giant foam finger at Miley Cyrus when it comes to placing the blame on their raunchy VMA performance. The “Blurred Lines” singer told Oprah, “That’s all on her! People ask me, ‘Do you twerk?’ I go, ‘Listen, I’m the twerkee. I’m twerked upon!'”

I’m not 100% convinced MC should take all the blame (his goofy smile says he willingly participated)… but she didn’t make him wear that hideous Beetlejuice outfit, did she? Dearest Robin, you should be ashamed of yourself…

The interview with O will air on Sunday, and you’ll be able to see Robin in full defense mode. But until then, here’s a sneak peek at the juicy interview:

Do you think MC should take the whole blame for the VMAs performance or were there some blurred lines being crossed by both parties?

  2. Hannah Said:

Well it’s not Robin’s fault that Miley started twerking. Unless they had it planned out but I don’t think that would really happen. His smile that GG and I noticed, it seems like there is something behind this because of that smile, but idk…

  3. Is Said:

I have a feeling Robin was only smiling to save face and just went along with it. I mean, he IS married so I doubt he’d initiate what happened at the VMAs.

  4. MX Said:

The VMAS, like any other award, are planned beforehand, so he knew what was going to happen. Maybe Miley proposed all the twerking thing, but he agreed

  5. Dafne Said:

In Miley Cyrus: the movement you can clearly see the rehearsal they show them rehearsing for crying out loud.

  6. Temal Said:

When he say that’s all on her I believe he is talking about her twerking.

  7. Celinea Said:

Robin’s wife was asked what she thought of the performance. Her response was that she was fine with it, everything had been pre planned and she was aware of what was going to happen during the performance.
Also, Robin himself cannot deny that when Miley bent over he pushed his crotch forward. I very much doubt that was a coincidence. Of course he knew what was happening, the line about his eyes where to the sky and he had no idea what was happening in front of him was bullshit.
Fair enough Miley may be at some fault, but she doesn’t deserve to have all of it dumped on her.

  8. Valerio Said:

He is ridiculous. Watch the latest Miley’s interview on Ellen… She said that lots of people knew already what was going to happen due to rehearsal, it was no secret ESPECIALLY for mister Blurred Lines.
He should not behave like a victim, he was right there making the show and enjoying it.

  9. Ruby Said:

Putting the blame on someone else for his own actions and having a song which encourages rape. Hmm there’s definitely something to be said about that.

  10. Kortnee Said:

He walked up to her as she was twerking…. how is that not his fault?

  11. Em Said:

If you watched Miley’s documentary you can see it was planned before hand.

  12. Samantha Said:

The show seems sooo planned out, I think miley was trying to imitate when the VMAs were fun, not a commercial, and spontaneous, but I feel like it was all planned…
so he knew what he was getting himself into. He really didnt look surprised at all

  13. Applepie Said:

I’m guessing that maybe he’s coming at it from a choreography perspective. Like don’t blame me, I didn’t force the twerk move or come up with her dance performance, so if you don’t like it, talk to her and her dance team about it. He didn’t plan the dance move that Miley’s been doing left and right in clubs and in her We Can’t Stop video. Obviously the move was in their VMA performance because of Miley’s fondness for it. He just stood there so he actually is the twerkee. lol!

  14. Isabelle Said:

She definitely shouldn’t take all the blame. I mean, he was at the rehearsals too. If he didn’t like it, he should’ve said something before.
