We’re counting down the days until the Gossip Girl Season 6 premiere on October 8 at 9/8c by featuring some fan-picked favorite episodes every day until the premiere. There are only 8 more days left! And today, we’re looking at Facebook fan Max S.’s favorite episode:
Season 1, Episode 7: “Victor, Victrola”
It was the beginning of the love affair we all have watched with both crying and happy eyes: Chuck and Blair. It’s one of the first moments that shows that Chuck is not heartless and truly loves Blair. Blair had every girl’s dream of a bad boy showing his soft side for the love of her come true in this episode. Plus, Eric Daman’s styling was A+. – Max S.
Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) is interested in investing in the Victrola, a burlesque club, so that he can impress his dad. Bart thinks that’s great that Chuck is showing interest in something other than partying.
Meanwhile, Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) confronts Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) about what he said to her at the masquerade ball when he thought she was Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively). He told her he still wasn’t over her yet. Nate begs Jenny not to tell his girlfriend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). She ultimately does right before Blair and Nate’s families have dinner together. At the dinner, Blair asks Nate if there’s anything he wants to tell her but he says no. Nate’s dad awkwardly bullies his mom into letting Blair try on the gigantic family engagement ring.
Outside, Nate and his dad get in a fight about that whole embarrassing situation, and it turns physical with his dad punching him. The police pick up his dad and take him to jail. Bail is set to one million dollars and it turns out that the D.A.’s office has been trying to build a case on him for embezzlement and fraud, and now they have him.
Blair and Nate break up after his fight with his dad. She joins Chuck at the Victrola, and he encourages her to get on stage. She seductively strips down to her slip and dances on stage. They leave in his limo and passionately hook up.
