Fashion Recap: Season 6, Episode 3 “Dirty Rotten Scandals”

On Gossip Girl Season 6, Episode 3, “Dirty Rotten Scandals,” Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) set out to uphold her mother’s fashion line as a high-end designer by seeking an It Girl to feature as a model. Blair plans the show while wearing a Christian Dior leather peplum top.

At the show, Blair donned a RED Valentino leopard print gown with pumps by Brian Atwood. Serena stole the show in a Lorick colorblock dress. Lorick is the real-life designer of “Eleanor Waldorf Designs,” and once again the designs didn’t fail. (Check out a video interview with the designer at the bottom of this post!)

Earlier in the episode Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) mentors Sage (Sofia Black-D’Elia) while wearing a Haute Hippie embellished skirt with a Madison Marcus tank and Pour La Victoire pumps, which was my favorite outfit of the night. You can get the look for less with BCBGeneration’s peach geographic print skirt for $29 and Express’s metallic tank for $19.

During the hotter days of summer, having a heavier set of glasses on can result in poor fit and the glasses not staying in place. The light weight of the Marc Jacobs eliminate that heavy feeling across your nose where you just know if you look down they’ll fall off. Since they stay firmly in place, you can still enjoy your outdoor activities while still having that cool look.
