In Gossip Girl‘s Season 6, Episode 3 “Dirty Rotten Scandals” (original air date October 22, 2012), the focus of the evening is Blair Waldorf‘s (Leighton Meester) first fashion show as the new head of her mother’s design company. She has been working for two weeks and hasn’t rested in days. And then she finds out that one of the models has had to drop out. Who will fill her place??
Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), Steven Spence (Barry Watson), and his daughter Sage (Sofia Black-D’Elia) are having brunch together. Sage is throwing some attitude about the fact that Steven has ignored her all summer but now he’s back with his trophy girlfriend. After Sage gets up from the table to take a call from her new boyfriend Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Steven throws out the idea to Serena that maybe they should take a break for the sake of Sage. Serena says she knows how to handle Sage because she used to be just like her not too long ago.
At the Empire, Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) is telling Nate about his mission to find out who the mystery guy is from the picture Amira sent him in the last episode. All of a sudden Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) walks into the kitchen. Chuck looks at Nate and says, “I may be negotiating with terrorists but you’re harboring a fugitive.” Dan has come to stay with Nate after seeing Rufus (Matt Settle) sleeping with Ivy Dickens (Kaylee Defer) and Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) watching him sleep. Nate tells him that his first post in the serial is going live on The Spectator today and asks him if he wants to tell the person it’s about before it goes live. Dan refuses and tells him just to post it.
Rufus and Ivy are talking and he tells her that he wants to announce their relationship to his kids before they announce it to others. He says Jenny is in London and Dan is still in Europe. All of a sudden, Ivy looks at The Spectator and the headline reads “Rufus Humphrey’s Glass Loft; Morality Man Shacks Up With a Con Artist.”
Back at Blair’s, Jean-Pierre says that he’s having trouble finding a new It Girl to walk in the show. He looks up at a picture of Blair and Serena and says that his It Girl is right there. Blair says she can’t walk in her own show, but he says he was talking about Serena. So, Blair calls Serena and says that she’s not calling as a friend, but as a business opportunity and asks her if she would walk in her show. “My back is up against the wall, and not in a hot Chuck Bass kind of way,” Blair says. Serena tells her that she’s focusing on Sage and keeping her on track. She hangs up and sees Sage running away from her by getting in a cab.
Blair is upset about Serena and her head starts spinning… she faints! A doctor comes to see her and says she needs bed rest and lot of fluids.
