Selena Gomez may tolerate a whole lot of nonsense from Justin Bieber, but she has no tolerance for bullies. S took particular offense to a “fan” who apparently left a comment saying she wished cancer upon someone. Though she’s not typically one to respond to negative fans, Selena issued the following statement:
The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman. I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart. You won’t be winning *anyone’s* heart that way. Trust me. Educate yourself a tad more. God bless love. Be an amazing woman. You’re beautiful.
Well said, S. While I typically avoid giving the time of day to people unworthy of my attention, S doing so in a stern but positive way was quite impactful. I only hope she had nothing to do with that Comic Sans font. The 90’s are over.
What do you think, dolls? Was responding to this “fan” with her opinion a positive way to get her message across? Or just giving celebrity attention to someone who simply doesn’t deserve it?
