To say Shailene Woodley‘s alternative lifestyle has gone extreme is an understatement, darlings. The Divergent star recently opened up on Into The Gloss about the things she does to keep her skin, hair and body healthy… and it’s quite a list!
Let’s start off with her locks. She swears that the less she puts in her hair, the better it is. But that means she not only skips products, but washes too! “I only shampoo it like once a month,” she revealed, “the oilier, the better.” I know my hairstylist Pierre is dying a little inside right now reading this.
Next up, Shai insists that the healthiest thing you can put in your body is clay: “I first heard about the benefits of eating clay from a taxi driver. He was African and was saying that, where he’s from, the women eat clay when they’re pregnant…. So, I’ve discovered that clay is great for you because your body doesn’t absorb it, and it apparently provides a negative charge, so it bonds to negative isotopes. And, this is crazy: it also helps clean heavy metals out of your body.” Yes. I think crazy is the word that best describes it….
And last but not least, she confesses to sunbathing her vagina. “I was reading an article written by an herbalist I studied about yeast infections and other genital issues,” the actress revealed. “She said there’s nothing better than vitamin D. If you’re feeling depleted, go in the sun for an hour and see how much energy you get. Or, if you live in a place that has heavy winters, when the sun finally comes out, spread your legs and get some sunshine.”
