Les Miserables, indeed. I hear that Taylor Swift failed to land the part of Eponine in the big screen adaptation of the iconic musical. Instead, the part went to theater veteran Samantha Barks, who beat out Lea Michele, Evan Rachel Wood (she can sing?) and Scarlett Johansson for the role.
Will you boycott Les Miz now that it’s sans Taylor? Or did her mid-range vocals mean she never had a shot to begin with?

I was planning to boycott it when they cast Taylor Swift over Lea Michele. Nothing against Taylor Swift, she never should have been in the running
I was planning on boycotting as well when Swift was cast. In my opinion, she shouldn’t have been in the running. Her vocal range does not fit the needs of the part of Eponine and I’m absolutely thrilled that Barks has won the part. I loved her in the concert and will adore her in the film.
Taylor swift actually got the role but she turned it down because she had too much other stuff going on in her life.
I don’t know if Taylor lost the roll or if she gave it up, but I’m relieved either way. Taylor isn’t even comparable to the rest of the ladies in the running for the role. Her acting is enough to make me want to vomit and her vocals are sub-par. Samantha Barks is gonna blow it out of the park.
