WTF Alert: Taylor Swift Getting Sued For Using the Number 13?

Even though the number 13 is considered bad luck by many, it’s done Taylor Swift pretty well all these years… until now. I hear that a clothing company I’ve never even hear of is slapping Swiftie with a lawsuit because she uses the number for everything. Ummm…

According to E! News, Lucky 13 is accusing Tay with copyright infringement saying that she’s been using the brand’s federally registered trademarks without proper authorization.

Taylor Swift 13

As you know, T.Swizzle is obsessed with the number 13 and paints it on her hand during many of her concerts as a good luck charm. But the number has always been a big deal to her. She explained to MTV, “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No. 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter.”

Hmmm, the whole thing just seems kind of fishy to me. Could this just be the brand’s lame (and totally rotten) way of getting publicity? Or do you think there’s more to the story?

The brand clearly only wants attention. If they were this upset with Taylor using the number 13 then why didn’t they sue her before? I smell jealousy. It’s just a damn number for fucks sake, it’s not like they invented it. They should just leave Taylor alone. She has done nothing wrong, and she just doesn’t deserve this. She’s a wonderful human being and it saddens me that some people can’t see that.

She’s a big girl, she knows right from wrong, give an inch they take a mile, she is in the entertainment field she has lawyers she has the common sense to have them or her hired family to do the leg! work!she was just cloning them in fact they could push the facts, defamation of character character assassination fraud forgiving forgery with intent to do harm, desecrating a well known company that is respected, as well as a host of other actions they could hold liable for they can also ask for pay

  5. sammie Said:

O well it will teach her to grow up

  6. Natalie Said:

Clearly the company needs the attention since I’ve never heard of them. Since the company is named “Lucky 13″ and Tay only uses the number “13”, there is not way she can be sued for copyright infringement. Now that I know the name of this company, I will never buy anything from them for being so pathetic!!! Tay Tay, keep doing what you do and I love the fact you have a home in my neighborhood in RI.

  7. John Miller Said:

Pathetic! the company should also sue her mother for giving birth to her on the 13th. shits!

  8. Satin13 Said:

If you can sue someone for a number, then does that mean if I register the numbers one and three I could sue Lucky 13 for using those numbers to form thirteen, clearly there just looking for attention, but don’t they realize by going after america’s sweetheart it’s not going to help them, it’s going to hurt them.
