Did Willow Smith Get Her Parents in Trouble?

My, oh my. The Internet seems to be blowing up with reports that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s parenting skills are under investigation right now by Child Protective Services. Looks like we weren’t the only ones who thought that racy pic of Willow Smith, 13, in bed with a shirtless Moises Arias, 20, was a little odd… A source snitched to RadarOnline that the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services has officially opened an investigation into the incident.

Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith

“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department,” the insider told Radar. “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”

As you’ll recall, Jada thought nothing of the photo that had everyone talking… in fact, she said there was nothing sexual at all about the picture or situation. (Click here for the full story.)

None of the family members have publicly acknowledged this report yet, and the story is developing. If it is true, do you think Will and Jada could be in more trouble than they realized at first, or will it all blow over quickly–kind of like the buzz for After Earth?

CPS has been handed what it believes to be a smoking gun and is running with it. Spending thousands of dollars that could better be used on a child who has had numerous reports logged against their caretakers. If Ms. Smith were topless than I would agree with the uproar however that is clearly not the case. There are tens of thousands of children in the United States that are being ignored by the very system that is looking into a very innocent photo.

um… miranda, no one said that they were spending thousands on this, no one said how much is being spent at all.
On top of that you dont know if anything else has been reported.

Also often even with these other children in bad/horrible situations there’s not much they can do, because of a lack of evidence. Its not that they wont do anything just legally they cant, and yeah that does suck.

The only thing about this is how quickly they were addressed, when most cases take much longer.

She is just another one that will most likely grow up to be scandalous, just like both her parents are. And that, is disgusting.

The focus of any investigation should be on that pig Moises Arias. The pic doesn’t prove he’s a paedophile, but it certainly gives probable cause to investigate him. Why the hell was he, a 20 year old grown man, posing for photos shirtless in bed with a 13 year old girl? The authorities should be investigating whether he has done anything inappropriate or illegal with Willow Smith (or anyone else), and if he has then he should be arrested.

  5. Emily Said:

The photo was not sexual. The media played on it and said it was sexual..
Why is Social Services trying to make a case of this? Could it be that the excitement of accusing a family who are celebrities? Totally gross!!! We live in a technology world and everything is identified and interpreted any way you see fit. Social Services should put their energies into families that need their help.

I think everyone is putting to much into it, men have been running around for years without shirts on, and they said that they have been friends for years why does people make such big things out of nothing? And the smith’s just want to be left alone and raise their kids as they see fit.
